Mercurio.
Mask for dance piece. 2019

Mercurio was the result of madness of my contemporary dance teacher. Starting from one of his drawings, he proposed me, as a riddle, to solve the piece with the following premises: two masks connected by something, with appreciable textures and allowing visibility without hindering the free movement while two ones were playing chess, in addition to, Its staging was agile and fast. And to all this, he lit up with the idea of mercury color. The mask is solved with modular origami for the jaw and accordion fold for the helmet. I folded it with a white base of 120gr. recycled paper sheets and finally coated with aluminum foil. I dedicated to develop the project about a month. I miss people with imagination like him.

Bufalino.
Mask inspired by the
Tap American Landscape. 2019
It is a mixture of Venetian mask and origami. It is inspired by a Brenda Bufalino tap mask from the 90's made by Jebah Baum. My version is some what larger and uninhibited attitude, in reused white paper of 120gr. and I executed it in two afternoons. It was a break while modeling the Rococo wig, which had me completely absorbed. It is the literal fruit of a liberation. It has a double camera; the first contains the shape and the second dampens the movement. The support with the head arises through a Venetian mask. In total I spent a week solving the system. Thanks Guillem for offering her a soul.
